The construction works of the new logistics platform “Puerta Mayor – Los Gavilanes” of Getafe have already begun
The event was attended by different authorities such as the Mayor of Getafe and the Ambassador of Portugal in Spain, as well as representatives of the companies participating in the project, among which was Mr. Manuel Couto, President of the MCA Group, and Sir John Thompson, Director of Rockspring Spain. The event was presented by David Martínez, General Director of ProEquity, Company in charge of marketing the project.
The property, owned by an investment fund managed by the British company Rockspring, will be built on a plot of 88,000 m² and will be able to operate as a 58,000 m² warehouse for a single user or as a multi-tenant Logistic Park with independent logistic activities formed for up to 8 modules of 7,253 m².
The Business and Logistics Park “Puerta Mayor-Los Gavilanes”, located southeast of the municipality of Getafe, has a total area of 1,700,000 square meters and has one of the best and most modern exterior developments with 500,000 m² of green areas .
Its location, in which companies such as Decathlon or Costco already operate, is ideal for logistics companies looking for a strategic location in the south of Madrid and quick access to the main communication routes of the capital, since it is located in the link point of the A4 motorways (Madrid Andalucía) and the M-50 ring road, 15 km from the center of Madrid.
The Platform will have the highest quality standards and complete facilities (spring ratio of 1/860 m², structure and concrete enclosure, wide maneuvering beaches of more than 35 m, fire prevention system based on the North American Standard NFPA, height 12 m, indoor and outdoor LED lighting, etc). The work will also have the Certification of sustainable buildings Leed Plata and is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2017.
The development of the project will be carried out by the Portuguese group MCA, concessionary company of the polygon and one of the leaders in the construction sector worldwide, currently operating in 7 countries.
